Dana Corkey

Dana Corkey is a Calgary-based mixed media artist whose practice lives at the intersection of intuition and intention. With thirty years in advertising and creative strategy, she brings a trained visual intelligence to work that is anything but calculated.

Her process begins with curiosity—often a material or object that makes her stop and ask, "I wonder what that would do?" From there, she experiments, layers, and responds, letting each piece find its own shape without a fixed outcome in mind. The result is work that feels both discovered and inevitable: emotionally direct, texturally rich, and alive with mark-making.

Dana is proud to create in Calgary, Canada. And would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta. The city of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation within Alberta (including Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6).
